Design a data structure that supports several active trips at once — each containing multiple custom groups (like "Beach Bag" or "Kids' Suitcase") with their own item checklists — while keeping everything organized by upcoming dates and instantly accessib

Built a nested, well-indexed data model (Trips → Packing Groups → Items) with date-based sorting logic, enabling smooth management of unlimited trips and lists in one centralized hub with real-time updates.

Duplicate a complete trip — including every packing group, item, and setting — as a fully independent copy, ensuring changes to the new trip never affect the original, and no nested data is lost or duplicated incorrectly during the cloning process.

Developed a deep-copy duplication engine that recursively clones all nested trip data with fresh references and reset checklist states, eliminating repetitive data entry for recurring journeys while keeping every trip fully independent.

Keep checklist states accurate in real time — even with rapid tapping, offline usage mid-packing, or switching between multiple bags — so users can fully trust that what's marked packed is actually packed.

Implemented optimistic UI updates with reliable state syncing and progress tracking per group, delivering an instant, lag-free checklist experience that guarantees accuracy across all trips and bags.
